Location: London Overview: An innovative Food Manufacturer with a rich history and a real emphasis on strategic planning and productivity are now looking to recruit a Head of Operations to lead their and drive standards across all departments. The Candidate:   Proven Leadership skills in a Food Manufacturing environment, preferably with experience of managing engineering and/or maintenance as well as operations. Degree in Food Science / Science, or related subject or equivalent. Track record of delivering strategic projects and managing costs effectively. Capable of working cross functionally and bringing departments together. Effective communicator with all stakeholders, both internally and externally. Ability to deal with complexity and change, prioritise effectively, and deliver within short timescales, Analytical mindset, looking for opportunities to improve current practices.   The Role:  As Head of Operations, you will have direct responsibility for the day to day running of the plant and facilities. You will develop and maintain a continuous improvement culture, driving operational efficiencies, and identifying and implementing improvements to working practices to improve efficiency, performance and reliability. You will manage teams across operations, engineering and warehousing, driving efficiencies and working towards common goals. As the Head of Operations, you will report directly into the Managing Director. Ensure all food products are manufactured to the required product safety and quality standards, safely and on time. Managing costs and spends across the factory. Set performance goals, conduct performance evaluations, and provide feedback to enhance employee productivity and morale. Location: East Midlands Contract length: 3-6 months Overview: We are seeking an immediately available Interim Hygiene Manager to oversee a new factory build for ambitious Food Manufacturing business during a huge period of growth, whilst also maintaining existing operations. Experience Required: ·       Solid experience in a hygiene role within the food manufacturing or food processing industry. ·       Multi-site, food experience ·       Proven experience in leading and managing hygiene teams ·       Strong understanding and experience with food safety standards and regulations, such as HACCP and other relevant food safety certification programs   Key Responsibilities: Planning the work of the on-site hygiene staff to drive continual improvements in hygiene standards Develop and audit hygiene schedules and work instructions to ensure all inspections and certification audits are passed Managing teams Assume overall responsibility for the safety of self and staff whilst at work, ensuring that all requirements as laid down within the company handbook, company’s health and safety policy are implemented, monitored, and maintained Ensure that all team members are suitably trained, understand their objectives, standards required, are reliable and punctual in their attendance and are motivated to the job This role is offering a day rate of £350-400, depending on experience, outside IR35.
