Role Overview:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented and dynamic Continuous Improvement Manager to join our fast-paced FMCG Manufacturing business based in Lancashire. As a key member of the Operations team, you will play a crucial role in driving operational excellence and efficiency across their manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement continuous improvement strategies and initiatives to optimize manufacturing processes, reduce waste, and enhance overall operational efficiency
- Lead cross-functional teams to identify and analyse opportunities for improvement, using data-driven methodologies and best practices.
- Drive TPM methodologies across the site
- Collaborate with department heads and frontline employees to foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and track improvements, providing regular progress updates to senior management.
- Implement lean principles and methodologies to streamline processes, improve quality, and reduce costs.
- Conduct training sessions to ensure employees at all levels are knowledgeable about continuous improvement methodologies and tools.
- Drive a proactive approach to problem-solving and root cause analysis, promoting a culture of learning from mistakes and implementing preventive measures.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience in a Continuous Improvement or Operational Excellence role within the FMCG Manufacturing sector, with experience with TPM tools and techniques.
- Strong background in implementing lean principles and methodologies.
- Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams and driving positive change.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels of the organization.
- Strong financial management skills.
