Role Overview: My client is a globally recognised company and is a major player in their field.
With a real emphasis on people development and determined strategic growth they are now looking to recruit an ambitious and talented Technical Development Manager. The role will involve overseeing the technical aspects of research and development projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving innovation to deliver high-quality materials solutions for their customers.

 

The Candidate:
•    Degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or a related field. 
•    Proven experience in leading and managing technical development teams and projects.
•    Strong leadership and management abilities, with a track record of motivating and inspiring teams to achieve projects objectives and drive innovation. 
•    Strong knowledge of materials science principles, including materials synthesis, characterisation techniques and performance evaluation 
•    Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
•    Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, enabling seamless collaboration with cross-functional teams.

 

The Role:
•    As the Technical Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing the material sciences development projects. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of materials science principles and possess strong leadership and project management skills. 
•    The role will involve overseeing the technical aspects of research and development projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving innovation to deliver high-quality materials solutions for our customers.
•    Lead and manage the team on material sciences development projects from concept to commercialisation, ensuring the team adhere to project timelines, budget and quality standards. 
•    Bring together the team to collaborate and with production, product managers to define project objectives, deliverable, milestones and set priorities. 
•    Provide technical expertise and guidance in materials science, including materials selection synthesis, characterisation and performance evaluation.
