Overview: We&rsquo;re looking for a Technical Manager to join a well-established food manufacturer who supply award winning chilled products to the UK retailer and food service market.
From a technical point of view, they&rsquo;re in a strong place with a BRC AA+ and no current gaps in the team.&nbsp;
The role would suit a tried-and-tested Technical Manager as opposed to someone stepping up.&nbsp;
 Role Responsibilities: Reporting directly into the Head of Technical, you&rsquo;ll be tasked with: &bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Managing the day-to-day activities of the technical team on site, you&rsquo;ll have one direct report and coach a small team of QAs. &nbsp; &bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Ensuring the HACCP system is adhered to and managing site audit schedules to ensure compliance. &bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;You&rsquo;ll be factory focussed, responsible for all the audits. &bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;From time to time, you&rsquo;ll find yourself customer facing with the major retailers.&nbsp; &bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Proactively communicating information to the Directors on technical performance. &bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;You&rsquo;ll act as a point of contact between the factory technical team and the wider technical team.
 Candidate &bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;You will need to have a chilled food background to succeed in this role.&nbsp; &bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Previous experience as a Technical Manager within food manufacturing is essential, this wouldn&rsquo;t suit someone stepping up. &bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;HACCP Level 3 and Food Safety Level 3.&nbsp; &bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;A working knowledge of BRC V9.&nbsp; &bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;The ability to take ownership of a technical function. &bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Lead auditor or equivalent qualification.&nbsp; &bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;You will need to be comfortable with ambiguity and getting stuck in, no two days are the same in this business
