Production Shift Manager.

Location: Wickford 
Overview: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a hands-on Production Shift Manager to join a growing, values-driven manufacturing business. This Monday to Friday day-shift role is ideal for a motivated people leader with a strong continuous improvement mindset who enjoys driving performance, developing teams, and ensuring safe, efficient operations in a fast-paced environment.

About You:
•    As Production Manager, you will have proven supervisory or management experience within an FMCG manufacturing environment
•    Strong understanding of food safety systems, HACCP, and recognised quality standards (e.g. BRC or equivalent)
•    Confident people manager with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams
•    Demonstrated experience driving continuous improvement and operational excellence
•    Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills

What will you be doing?
•    Managing all production activities during your shift, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with food safety and health & safety standards
•    Leading and developing a multi-skilled production team, promoting engagement, flexibility, and high performance
•    As Shift Manager, you will be monitoring and driving KPIs through effective planning, reporting, and corrective actions
•    Identifying bottlenecks and implementing process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste
•    Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure production plans are delivered on time and in full

What can they offer you?
•    Salary of £40,000 – £45,000 depending on experience
•    Day shift hours: 10:00 – 18:30, Monday to Friday
•    33 days annual leave, including bank holidays
