Operations Manager.

Location: Chester

Overview: We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to manage the safe, efficient and cost-effective management of the factory production, ensuring that all scheduled production plans are delivered on time and in full, whilst all performance related KPIs are delivered in an effective and profitable manner.

Experience Required: 

·       As the Operations Manager, you will need experience as a Manufacturing Manager or Operations Manager from a Food Manufacturing or FMCG environment, managing teams in a complex factory.

·       Excellent leadership skills, a drive to improve and challenge the status quo and endeavour to influence and manage change.

·       A keen eye for detail, strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach

·       Enthusiastic and energetic attitude, with an ability to work calmly under pressure in a fast-paced environment, and to respond quickly and effectively to the unexpected.

·       Clear, effective and proactive communicator.

·       Open, honest and respectful approach to work, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation.

Responsibilities: 

·       Reporting to the General Manager, the Operations Manager will develop the skills of the management team and operational teams and strive to  multi skill the team for operational efficiencies.

·       To actively promote a safety & wellbeing culture within the department and ensure that all Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are met by every team member.

·       To drive performance on all the recognised business KPI’s.

·       To promote the development and implementation of a culture of continuous improvement of quality, productivity, efficiency and cost.

·       To ensure, through maintaining the appropriate staffing levels and the

·       development of adequate skills cover, that the ability to produce to standard performance is maintained.
