You will be able to exemplify a track record of working in fast paced food manufacturing environments. Happy to get stuck in on the factory floor on things like factory trials. Having an up-to-date knowledge of packaging and sustainability trends, challenges and technologies. Ability to create, innovate and investigate more sustainable practices. Helpful if you have the following knowledge: WRAP, Plastic Pact, OPRL. The Role: Assist in building and maintaining the innovation packaging reduction program, driving continuous improvement and sustainable policies. Constantly sharing knowledge and expertise of packaging concepts and materials. Assist the NPD team in new concepts and implement packaging formats off the back of this. Attend packaging trials. Location: Warwickshire Overview: This position has been created to strengthen the NPD Governance team. You and the team, with the help of the Head of NPD Governance will be streamlining one way of working across a large portfolio of food manufacturing businesses.   This would suit a Senior NPD Technologist or a Junior NPD Manager with a passion for the stage gate process. Someone who isn’t afraid to challenge senior stakeholders and is comfortable with having a lot of autonomy. The Opportunity. As part of the NPD Governance team, you’ll be spearheading the innovation roadmap ensuring its aligned to one stage gate way of working across the brands and products they deliver to the UK retailers.   The recipe development system will be yours to project manage and keep completely up to date, ensuring its running smoothly. Though there is an element of working alone and having autonomy on this role you will be dealing with senior stakeholders daily, so its important you have the confidence to challenge their ways of working. This role is all about delivering positive change. Ideally, you’ll have a relevant degree in food science or nutrition. Alongside this, you should understand the concept to launch process and what this entails each step of the way. If your passion for NPD sits within recipe development and innovation, this role probably won’t suit you. What can they offer you? The business is going through a massive amount of positive change, they’re combining ways of working in line with their best practices and investing heavily to help them along the way. Hence why this role has been created. What this means for you, is that there is a lot of scope for you to grow the remit of your role and climb the ladder. The base salary is £50k, this comes with a company car and a bonus of up to 10%. How to apply?
