Location:  Staffordshire/Gloucestershire with hybrid working Overview: As a member of a talented global quality team, you be the lead for all allergen related research and drive growth in this field of expertise.   The Opportunity: ·       The Technical Lead will maintain and extend a high level of awareness of current food legislation, related issues. ·       Management of and liaison with clients in the area of food allergens, including answering technical inquiries from clients and colleagues, interpretation of testing results where required, and the provision of consultancy, information, training, and advice.  ·       Maintain up-to-date knowledge of scientific and technical issues concerning food allergens and their application for operational support in food production businesses. ·       Actively contributing and supporting the Safety and Quality Team Lead in the development of the team within the allergens field.   Qualifications and Experience: ·       Graduate level qualification(s) in science, law or related subjects ·       As Quality Lead, at least 3 to 5 years’ experience of food allergen management and its role in the wider context of food production (such as alignment with HACCP), and the theory and practice of testing. ·       Acknowledged expertise in the field of food allergen testing, evidenced through production of publications, contribution to training and/or involvement in relevant research.  Good understanding of the food industry. ·       Customer service-oriented and committed to providing an outstanding level of service to all. ·       Highly organised and process driven Technical Lead, ability to multi-task, time management and prioritisation skills. ·       A friendly, can-do, flexible and enthusiastic attitude with a strong desire to make the role and the business succeed.   Benefits: Excellent salary dependent on experience £50k - £60K 25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays Worksave pension scheme, with employee contributions matched by the company up to 10% Culture focused on work/life balance We offer continued professional development (support for future qualifications- Degree apprenticeships, MSc, PhD etc) Buy & Sell 5 days holiday Rewards platform- 100s of retail discounts, gym membership discounts etc   We’re open to hearing from Technical Managers, Technical Account Managers, Quality Leads, Food Safety Specialists, Supplier Technical Managers from areas such as Gloucester, Cheltenham, Chipping Norton, Evesham, Worcester, Stratford, Oxford or Warwick.
