Health, Safety & Environmental Manager – FMCG Role Overview: As an active member of the Site Senior Leadership Team, you will support the site in driving Safety, Health and Environmental performance, continuously looking for opportunities to reduce risks, as well as providing specialist advice through training and coaching. Key Responsibilities: Advising, guiding and coaching site management teams on all matters relating to environment, health & safety. Promoting the best health, safety, and environment culture. Maintaining and developing the sustainability path.   Implementing site management systems in line with ISO 45001 / 14001 Providing regular proactive communications to key stakeholders on SHE best practice and initiatives Developing and delivering a site SHE improvement plan aligned with the corporate strategy Supporting improvement projects at both site and group level Providing support to sites on achieving customers’ sustainability targets Supporting the investigation of accidents and incidents, and ensuring sustainable actions follow any identified corrective or preventative opportunities Qualifications and Experience: Previous experience in a Health, Safety and Environment role in Manufacturing, preferably Food. A NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) in Occupational Health & Safety. Systems knowledge is essential, specifically in Microsoft Excel. Ability to build strong working relationships at all levels. Meticulous organisational skills, able to prioritise and work to tight deadlines. Management systems experience and auditing – e.g. ISO14001, ISO45001. Experience leading internal audits and liaising with external regulatory bodies. Experience in people development. Ability to analyse complex problems to identify multiple root causes. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team to deliver results. Ability to communicate with stakeholders across all functions, at all levels of the business and within the local community. Head of Technical - Food Manufacturing Business Location: Southeast Salary: £75-85k Role Overview: Reporting to the Technical Director, you will manage key retailer relationships, and drive technical standards across the sites. Key Responsibilities: To manage key retailer relationships and maintain the business reputation for absolute integrity. Overarching management of risk assessments and compliance monitoring audits to deliver customers standards, policies, and required 3rd party audit standards. To work collaboratively with the procurement team to maintain and deliver robust supply chains.  Supported with a risk assessment process and auditing programme, in line with customer and company requirements To monitor and provide KPI metrics, internally, to our customers and to demonstrate both compliance and continuous improvement, across the division. To be the functional lead in the resolution of technical incidents.  Ensuring risks are evaluated, controlled and preventative action plans,  communicated to the business and relevant customers, as applicable. Qualifications and Experience: Proven track record for managing key retail relationships and motivating high performing teams. Significant experience across a wide range of different manufacturing business and food categories, supported with both high and low risk experience. Ability to manage incidents coupled with strong diagnostic ability and effective risk management. Broad experience gained working with the major retailers and a trusted and earnt reputation for absolute integrity. Ability to simultaneously manage numerous strategic projects and workstreams. Degree level qualification in a related discipline supported with relevant Food safety certification.
