Role Overview: A long established food manufacturing business are looking for a hands-on Technical Manager to play a critical role in managing outstanding standards of food quality and safety.

Overview

As Technical Manager the ideal candidate is a hands-on, factory-focused food professional. The role would suit a tried-and-tested Technical Manager, or a Quality Manager who is ready for a step up.

Role Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Site Director the Technical Manager’s duties will include:

  • Managing the day-to-day activities of the technical team on site.
  • Ensuring the HACCP system is adhered to and managing site audit schedules to ensure compliance.
  • Liaising with customers on quality issues and co-ordinating customer visits /audits.
  • Proactively communicating information to the business on technical performance.
  • Managing training of the QA team and technical training of site colleagues.

Candidate Profile:

  • HACCP Level 4 and Food Safety Level 4 preferred but not essential.
  • Proven track record in quality in UK food manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated experience of BRC standards and audits.
  • A strong QA background.
  • The ability to take ownership of a technical function.
